Time to Teach class online and to join with other
excited and inspired teachers of A Course in Miracles
who are willing to use the format I have set up to
teach on an always new, exciting and experiential

A Little Willingness

Time to Teach


Trust not your good intentions. They are not enough. But trust implicitly your willingness, whatever else may enter. Concentrate only on this, and be not disturbed that shadows surround it. That is why you came. If you could come without them you would not need the holy instant. Come to it not in arrogance, assuming that you must achieve the state its coming brings with it. The miracle of the holy instant lies in your willingness to let it be what it is. And in your willingness for this lies also your acceptance of yourself as you were meant to be.

Inquiry

Explain the connection between determination and willingness!

What is my difficulty in allowing myself to experience a moment of reality and the recognition of who and what I am?
Look honestly at how you are still trying to assert, prepare or purify yourself for the Holy Instant?

Where does my willingness really come from and what is it for?

What power needs to be recognized and appreciated to have your world of perception be transformed into vision and the experience of knowledge?
Does a little willingness imply a partial responsibility for the condition I find myself in?

What is humility if you look at the way in which the roles are divided between you and God?

TIME TO TEACH


Introduction:

Teaching is a method of conversion.

 

This is the place where students become teachers. The only requirements to participate in Time to Teach is a constant willingness to come into a new experience. To have the open-mindedness of an inquiring mind and the readiness to include yourself fully in with your teaching.

 

We teach perfection over and over until we learn it. We teach the truth and then we learn to accept the comfort of our own teaching. Sometimes we fake it till we make it. You become a great teacher because you will demonstrate that the practice of the Course has a direct and profound effect on you and  will therefore be communicated most effectively to everything about and everyone around  you.

 

It is not my intention to motivate you to present a purely conceptual teaching or deliver a merely correct sentiment. It is my intention to fuse what it is that Jesus says in his exact words with the occurrence of your own personal awakening experience.

 

In Time to Teach you are guided to further open up vistas of expression through assigned readings a personal inquiry and spontaneous techniques of verbal and non-verbal teaching.

It is a proven approach towards the fulfillment of your calling to express a message of love and transformation by means of your own individual recognition of wholeness and Christ hood.

 

Weekly assignments:


Time to Teach is organized around weekly assignments. The assignment is designed as a blueprint around one of the central themes that Jesus in his Course teaches. You will receive these assignments once a week hopefully giving you at least two or three days before your presentation at your group or in your class. They will give you a deeper understanding and experience of what the Course intents to reveal to us.  Subjecting and exposing your self to the literal content, purpose and means of A Course in Miracles you become the initial receiver of the message and are therefore enabled to share this message with others in a genuine and profound way.

 

Preparation

During the stage of preparation you emerge yourself fully in the assigned “material” of the Course. In so doing you become the initial receiver of the message of truth.

First reading
Some of the assignments will feature a mandatory reading. This reading will convey the vital elements of the week’s topic and will help you understand the particular theme. This first reading will be from the Course or of a relevant article or reading from a different source.

Second Reading

Subsequently you will be directed to choose one out of a few listed optional readings. It entails any possible combination of readings out of the Manual for Teachers, Textbook and selected lessons out of the Workbook of A Course in Miracles. Sometimes it even includes the New Testament, the big book of the 12 step program or other articles. This to present you with a wide range of possible expressions organized around a weekly  theme.

 

Inquiry

According to Socratic questions, creative and self-inquiring tasks you are directed to look closely at what is being communicated to you in a very literal and exact manner.

During the stage of preparation you become both subject to and vehicle of the message at the same time. It will help you to open up new vistas of expression, to integrate your personal memories and experiences and to develop your god given capabilities as a Teacher of the Truth.

 

Presentation

The presentation in the class or on paper will then come to mirror your personal awakening to the truth, which is now very active and alive within you. At this stage you are invited to drop your notes and be employed as a vehicle of the Universal Communication we call God.

 

Time to Teach Techniques
Some of the assignments introduce a teaching technique which you can regard as a suggested tool to communicate this message to others. They can help to break through old patterns of teaching or just hand you a set of teaching tools. In Time to Teach you will come to develop your own teaching-style as you are always willing to expose yourself to new ideas and suggestions.


Suggested class format

A Time to Teach class is a class where every teacher who has gone through the preparation process for the class will get an opportunity to stand up and teach for 5 up to 30 minutes during this class. The length depends on the amount of teachers that join you for this class. Suggested length of one Time to teach class is two hours. There is one leader who introduces the class and closes it. There are no questions asked or discussions entertained, just one teacher at a time honestly but without any compromise expressing this message in his/her highly individual and unique away.

 

Conclusion:

If you creatively and open-mindedly follow the instructions and suggestions for your preparation and presentation you will begin to find and increase the certainty and fulfillment that God intended for you as his chosen teacher.
